Caring Pediatric RN Wanted in Seattle's Thriving Team!

JAC is assisting a health system located near Seattle, WA, skilled RNs with experience in peds to join their team. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Pediatrics to join our dedicated healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing and demonstrate the ability to provide exceptional care to children in various settings. This role requires proficiency in patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest quality of care for our young patients.
Duties
Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
Perform various medical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and phlebotomy.
Monitor vital signs and assess patient conditions, responding promptly to changes in health status.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to each child's needs.
Educate patients and families on health management, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards for patient care.
Experience
Candidates should have a strong foundation in pediatric nursing along with experience or familiarity with the following skills:
Epic and Cerner EMR systems
Experience with children including toddler care and infant care
Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation
Familiarity with acute pain management, trauma medicine, emergency medicine, and outpatient services
Proficiency in performing procedures such as tube feeding, airway management, gastric lavage, and ostomy care
Understanding of behavioral health principles and working with individuals with developmental disabilities
