The goal of rehabilitation nursing is to assist individuals with disability and/or chronic illness to attain and maintain maximum function. The rehabilitation staff nurse assists clients in adapting to an altered lifestyle, while providing a therapeutic environment for client's and their family's development. The rehabilitation staff nurse designs and implements treatment strategies that are based on scientific nursing theory related to self-care and that promote physical, psychosocial, and spiritual health. $3.75 shift differential will be added to base salary after 3pm. Additional differential will be given for charge nurses and preceptors.
Salary Range: $55.9125 To $69.30 Hourly
*Actual offer will depend upon a number of factors including experience, education, certification(s), knowledge and skills.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• BLS required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• BSN preferred. (BSN degree additional $1500 per year)
• Prior experience using EPIC preferred.
• Experience working on a med/surg unit is preferred.
• Certification in Rehabilitation Nursing is encouraged ($5000 education differential for CRRN certification)
