Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Summary:
Provides direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN or licensed provider.
Key Responsibilities:
Administers medications and treatments, including wound care, catheterization, suctioning, enteral feedings, and vital signs monitoring.
Observes and reports patient conditions; documents care and verifies physician orders.
Assists with procedures, responds to emergencies, performs CPR, and uses AEDs.
Maintains accurate records (charts, medication logs, incident reports) and ensures infection control compliance.
Manages supplies and cleanliness of medical areas; communicates with pharmacy as needed.
Supports and guides direct care staff in basic patient care tasks.
Escorts patients to appointments and participates in meetings as needed
6 months of Psych is preferred.
