Assistant Director of Patient Care Services

EXPERIENCED RN MANAGER WITH BSN/MSN FOR: Work 10-7PM Monday through Friday plus shared administrative on call for Busy private duty agency. Management of RNs, LVNs, CNAs, Companions that work in the field from 4-24 hours/day. Position includes field supervisory visits occasionally for inspection of home charts with clients/nurses and interfacing with existing QA/QI nurse and training field staff on paperwork individually and in group orientation. Orientation of field staff weekly. Run office staff meeting with existing office manager/administrator. Occasional marketing of business services/working exhibit booths with RN Administrator. Evaluation of field staff performance and writing up staff that don't preform. Support of RN Owner in providing quality care to patient's homes ~ you do have a say in who works! Interviewing new prospects to work in the field. Plenty of clerical support so you will not be dealing with clerical duties! Small Agency where you have a say in policies/procedures. Looking for "hands on" manager with good/positive energy to motivate 4 staffing coordinators/other office staff! Prefer computer skills & ability to audit/prepare 485s. PREFER PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH PRIVATE DUTY HOME CARE. PREFER RN WHO WILL FILL IN AT PATIENT'S HOMES IN EMERGENCIES (VERY RARE). MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE OFFICE POLITICS AND WORK WITH DIFFICULT PERSONALITIES TO MOTIVATE POSITIVITY AND TEAM WORK

Nursing: 5 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:

BLS Certification (Preferred)

Current CA RN License
Experience writing 485's, MD orders
Familiar with Title 22
